Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek is a perfect combo of an very beautiful trek nearby Manali and also getting the opportunity of exploring the Manali town. In the initial days you’ll be exploring the in and out of Manali town covering all the nearby spots like Mall Road, Hadimba Devi temple, Vashisht Ashram and Hot Spring, Jogini Waterfalls and Solan Valley. About the trek Which as known Deo Tibba Base Camp is named so because this trek is a trailer of Deo Tibba Mountaineering Expedition which is one more than a week from our end point. As we all are aware about the beauty of the Manali Valley, This trek does a full justice with that. It offers beautiful wild flowers, lush green and diverse forest, river, stream, old temple, alpine meadow, giant waterfall, bird eye view of the valley, snow capped peaks and many other things. The maximum altitude you’ll be hitting in this trek is 13,500ft/4115m.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Manali (6,726 ft/2,050 m)

Reach Manali by around 10:00 am in the morning. The journey from Manali to Delhi is a long one so spend your afternoon in taking rest and getting freshen up. You can spend the evening in exploring the famous Mall Road. Also finish your shopping of the necessary items that you’ll be needing upcoming trip. You’ll be not be getting anything up in the mountain. There will be a small session of trip orientation and introduction before dinner.

Day 2 : Sightseeing of Manali Town

Manali is a very beautiful town also known as Kumbh of all types of Adventure Sports. You’ll be spending the whole day in exploring the famous places around the town. The Sightseeing includes Hadimba Devi temple, Vashiisht Ashram and Hot Spring, Jogini Waterfalls and Solan Valley. In the evening various learning modules like LNT, Tent pitching, Mountain manners, etc. will be taught to you which will be very beneficial for upcoming days of the trek. Prepare for the Trek by Packing your Backpacks at the night only so that you don’t miss anything for the trek. You can leave your extra luggage at the hotel itself. Don’t carry anything extra as you have to carry your own bag. Carry only the essential items told by your trip leader as discussed in the Briefing.

Day 3 : Bara Hazari (8,858ft/2,700m) to Dudu Pathar (1,100ft/335m) , Total Duration - Approx 5-6 Hours.

Max. Elevation of the day – Dudu Pathar (1,100ft/335m) Route Detail – Detail-Drive till Bara Hazar, which is Duhangan Dam control room. You’ll reach the trek starting point in around 1.5-2 hours. The road after Jagatsukh Village is very bad, you’ll never forget this ride. The trail starts just side of the control room, you’ll be going across few bridges. The initial part of the trail is steep and into the woods then the trail becomes gradual and later on it opens up. After 2-3 hours of trek you’ll hit a place known as Chika the initial camp site for the trek just after that there is a very famous temple of “Nag Temple”. We’ll not be camping here our camp is another 2 hours from this place. The Campsite name is Dudu Pathar. Overnight stay in Tents. Highlight of the day – The Trail Accommodation – Tents Remark – Be slow and steady on the trek as you’ll be camping at High-Atitude.

Day 4 : Dudu Pathar (1,100ft/335m) to Seri (12,795ft/3,900m), Duration - Approx 6 Hrs

Max. Elevation of the day – Seri (12,795ft/3,900m) Route Detail – Today’s trail is also very beautiful . The whole route is along the Jagatsukh River. With so many wild flowers, beautiful sceneries and gradual ascend you’ll reach the meadow of Seri. The campsite is full of streams. The best part of the campsite is Tainta Waterfall. Now as you’ve reached at a high altitude you’ll not be having any trees around. Enjoy the beauty of the camp. Overnight stay in Tents. Highlight of the day – The campsite itself. Accommodation – Tents Remark – Be careful on the route as few sections have so many rocks. Its become very risky in rainy season. Carelessness may lead to strain/Sprain

Day 5 : Seri (12,795ft/3,900m) to Seri (12,795ft/3,900m) , Duration - Approx 5 Hrs

Max. Elevation of the day – Tainta Top (13,500ft/4115m) Route Detail – After 30 mins. Of normal walk towards the waterfall you will reach the base of the waterfall from where the steepest part of the trek starts. It will take around 2 hours to reach the Tainta Top. Enjoy the bird eye view of the valley and view of peaks like Jagatsukh, Norbu and Malana. Spend some time in clicking photos and then baxk to the previous camps. Highlight of the day – Tainta Top Accommodation – Homestay Remark – Be very careful during the ascent of Tainta Top, Its quite steep.

Day 6 : Seri (12,795ft/3,900m) to Manali (6,726 ft/2,050 m) , Duration - Approx 9 Hrs

Max. Elevation of the day – Seri (12,795ft/3,900m) Route Detail – After the early breakfast you’ll trace back the same route to return Manali via Bara Hazari. Tonight we’ll be having a De-Briefing, Reflection session followed by the celebration party. Highlight of the day – No Highlights as you are tracing the previous route back. Accommodation – Homestay Remark -Be careful during the descend. It is a common mistake done by the trekker that in the happiness of returning back to the civilisation and in the network area they reduced their focus on the trail which may results in injuries.

Day 7 : Departure

After the Breakfast return back to your home by your respective means of transport with lots of sweet memories.
